I have worked in the care industry for 27 years. I started out caring in a residential home caring for people with dementia and other mental illnesses. I have been a carer, carer in charge of shift, senior carer and field care supervisor in charge of a domiciliary care company. I got my NVQ level 3 with apprenticeship then went on to do my lead to succeed qualification in managing in the care industry.
I have been a mother and now a grandmother throughout my career and enjoyed every minute of it. I have met many interesting people and seen some amazing changes over the years and hope my experience can help carers to thrive and grow.
I have always done my best to care for people on an individual basis and love to get to know who I’m caring for. I am honest reliable and professional. I always see the bright side and bring a smile. My motto has always been: "Never ask anyone to do what you won’t do yourself"
